Today, the Tiled Hall Café is placed in the beautiful former library and sculpture room of the Leeds Municipal Buildings which opened in 1884.
Their current logo/identity is virtually non existent, with a building full of so much personality it would be a shame for it to stay like that. This is why I set myself the brief to design them a logo with some accompanying packaging design.

I created some quick packaging designs of items often found in a cafe to help visualise the brands identity.
The building itself has such a rich history it only made sense for it to feature in the design. I did so by incorporating the iconic windows and modernised that by bringing in some life using the refreshing parlour palms.
Starting from one of numerous sketches I digitised it and recorded the process which you can see at the bottom of the page.
The colour palette is heavily inspired by the age old tiles covering all the walls, their light blue and green tones give a clean relaxed feel to the room, perfect for a coffee.
