Self Directed Brief
TYPOGRAPHY
Having never tried making my own typeface in the past I thought it was about time. Through this self initiate brief I learnt a lot about how typefaces are made, what the tricks and rules are and when to ignore them. I've benefited from this project enormously theoretically as I use type everyday in my practice (graphic design) however I now look at it in a very different light.
The Typeface

Here you see the main building blocks used to create the letters as well as the grid it made.

Above is a close up to notice the curves and points in the shape rather than immediately read the letter.

There would be no point in creating a typeface if I weren't to demonstrate it being used.
